Mrs. Edna “Pauline” (McDaniel) Taylor of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Quail Creek Skilled Nursing Facility, Springfield, MO. She was born November 19, 1920, in Clarksburg, MO, to Edward Roy and Anna Lee (Albin) McDaniel. On January 26, 1952, she was united in marriage to Dale B. Taylor in Kansas City, MO.
Pauline graduated from Russellville High School, Russellville, MO, and attended Southwest Baptist College, Bolivar, MO. She was employed by Commerce Bank in Kansas City, MO, until her retirement in 1985 when she and Dale moved to Springfield. Pauline was a long-time member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Springfield.
Survivors include her close friend, Mrs. Doncy Thompson, Springfield; nieces and nephews: Ruth Strobel and Helen Eggen, Jefferson City, MO; Dennis (Marsha) Strobel, Winder, GA; Mary Sundermeyer, New Bloomfield, MO; Patti Allen, Houston, TX; and Kenneth (Denise) Amos, San Diego, CA; as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Dale on October 18, 2003; her siblings and their spouses: Gertrude (Robert) Goldammer; Lucille (John “J.R.”) Strobel; Dorothy (Linville) Amos; and her twin brother, Edward “Paul” (Helena) McDaniel; a sister-in-law, Margaret (Oetting) McDaniel; one niece and two nephews.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are suggested to Macedonia Baptist Church, Samaritan’s Purse, or the organization of the donor’s choice.
