Paul William Grover, 87, died Friday, September 1, 2023, at his home in Dawson, Missouri, with family by his side.
Paul was born April 4, 1936, in Roosevelt, Minnesota, to William and Helen (Johnson) Grover. He attended school in Warroad, Minnesota, where he played ice hockey. He graduated in 1954 and soon after enlisted in the US Navy. He served nearly 21 years before retiring and relocating to his home in Dawson where he has lived for 43 years. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Paul enjoyed traveling and visiting National Parks. He loved hunting and fishing, especially traveling north to Minnesota each spring to catch “the big ones.”
He loved the Lord and attended Dawson Assembly of God Church.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Betty (Riley) Grover, brothers, Jack Grover and Bernard Grover, and sister, Esther Heath.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Grover, daughters, Debbie Block (Clint), and Tammy Drake (Jon), and one son, Ron Grover (Shannon), nine grandsons, Randy Grover, Tim Grover, JR Grover, Matthew Block, Michael Block, Mark Block, Noah Block, Alex Drake and Christian Drake, nine great grandchildren, step children, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, along with brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and extended family.
