Patsy Lee Ransom

Patsy Lee Ransom, daughter of Walter Lee McGowan and Vera (Hill) Bergholz, was born on September 6, 1952 in Los Angeles, California and departed this life on October 24, 2012 in Springfield, Missouri. She was 60 years, 1 month, and 18 days of age.

Patsy grew up in the Norwood, Missouri and South Gate, California areas. She graduated from South Gate High School in 1970. She was united in marriage to Craig Ransom on September 25, 1971 in South Gate. Two sons, Ryan and Troy, were born to this union. They then moved their family to San Diego, California.


Patsy worked as an accountant and homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.


Patsy was preceded in death by her father: Walter Lee McGowan.

Patsy is survived by her husband of 41 years: Craig Ransom of Santee, California; two sons: Troy Ransom and Ryan Ransom of San Diego, California; her mother: Vera Bergholz of Norwood, Missouri; a sister: Linda McGowan of Florida; five grandchildren: Brandon, Tyler, Haven, Lake, and Fisher Ransom; and a host of other relatives and friends.
