Patricia Ann Copeland, daughter of the late William Andrew and Flora Bell (Cook) Schwinger, was born on December 16, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri, and departed this life on October 4, 2013 at her residence near Mtn. Grove, Missouri, following a short illness. She was 66 years, 9 months, 18 days of age.
Patricia grew up the Kansas City area and attended school in Chillicothe, Missouri, until she was seventeen. She moved to California where she lived for twenty years, before moving back to Missouri, to make her home in the Mtn. Grove area. She had lived in the Ozarks around twenty years and at the time of her passing, she was living south of Mtn. Grove on AD Highway.
She was united in marriage to Dennis Copeland, who preceded her in death on December 20, 1988.
Patricia was employed as a caregiver for many years and later became a bartender
in Mtn. Grove.
She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She especially liked making window coverings and curtains for her friends and neighbors. She also liked decorating, collecting things. She had a large collection of dolls, shoes, jewelry, clothes, and a lot of other accessories.
Even though Patricia did not have any children of her own, she became a mother to many. Throughout her life she enjoyed helping others and they will cherish her special memories forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by her life companion of twenty-eight years: David Miller of their home; a brother: Robert Schwinger; and many neighbors and friends, who will miss her very much.
