Owen "Jack" Bradshaw

Owen E. “Jack” Bradshaw was born September 24, 1937, to Walter and Martha (Sparks) Bradshaw in Norwood, Missouri, and departed this life November 28, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 86.

In 1959, Jack married the love of his life, Jean Gilley. To this union was born a daughter in 1960 and a son in 1967, which made their family complete.

Jack was a “Jack of all Trades”: carpenter, electrician, plumber, mechanic, welder, and the list goes on and on. He would work or tinker in his garage every chance he got. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t make, build, or fix. He never threw a part or piece of anything away, just in case it was needed later. After retirement, he could be found at every yard sale in town and was so proud of the bargains he’d found.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Martha Bradshaw, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Afton and Reda Gilley, a son-in-law, Kenny Ratterree, a grandson, Billy Joe Ratterree, a great-grandson, Mikael Werner Ratterree, two brothers, Carl and Jim Bradshaw, and a sister, Frances Hurt.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet Ratterree-Luton and her husband, Eddie, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and his son, Jerry Bradshaw and his wife, Britia, of Springfield, Missouri, his grandchildren, David Ratterree, Kecia Schrock and her husband, Wendal, Jeannie Emery and her husband, Chris, and Kailey Bradshaw, great-grandchildren, Andy Ratterree (Mercedes), Ashton Ratterree, Mikala Werner Ratterree, Lily Ratterree, Trenton Noirfalise, Maecy Noirfalise, Emma Schrock, Madison Emery, Ethan Emery, great-great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Mikael Joseph, Zane, Braylin, Camilla, Aria, Kohen, Grayson, Lou Ella, and Wrenly, two sisters, Mary Lou Hutson and her husband, Darrel, and Judy Sullivan and her husband, Kenneth, three brothers-in-law, Harvey, Jackie, and Danny Gilley, and several nieces and nephews.

This isn’t “goodbye” but “see ya later.” The family would like to thank Country Living Assisted Living for the wonderful care they gave Jack.
