Orville Leonard Sutton, son of the late Jacob and Julia (Bridges) Sutton, was born on January 1, 1911 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri and passed away on January 25, 2009 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove following a short illness. He was 98 years and 24 days of age.
Orville grew up and attended school in the Mtn. Grove area and was united in marriage to Mae Bell Brumley on October 31, 1931. One daughter was born to this union. Orville worked in construction, finishing concrete, stucco and doing masonry work. He helped build many homes and schools in the surrounding area over the years.
He enjoyed music and playing his fiddle. He still used the same fiddle that he traded a spotted hog for when he was seven years old. He also enjoyed hunting squirrel and coon in his younger years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Mae Bell Sutton; and by one brother and three sisters.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and Bob McGowan of Mtn. Grove; two sisters: Nellie Sanders of Mtn. Grove, and Bonnie Blasco of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren: Brad McGowan and Bridgette Wade; seven great-grandchildren: Cherrel Correll and husband, Dave, Brandon McGowan and his wife, Leona, Shawsha Scott, Fawn Wade, Nichole McGowan, Devon McGowan, and Breanna McGowan; three great-great-grandchildren: Ashlin Correll, Jamison Bradley, and Sheridan Mae Scott; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.

Thursday, January 29th, 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
No Formal Visitation
Friends may sign register book after 10:00 AM on Wednesday.
