Norma "Maxine" Anderson

Norma Maxine Anderson, daughter of the late Elvis and Bertha (Sutton) Chasteen, was born January 11, 1924, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life February 19, 2019, at Ash Grove Care Center in Ash Grove, Missouri. She was 95 years, 1 month, and 9 days of age.

Maxine grew up in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and graduated from Mountain Grove High School. She married Clifford Lovan and one son was born to this union. After Clifford’s passing, Maxine married Clyde Anderson and moved to Willow Springs, Missouri.

Maxine retired from Brown Shoe Company after working for them for many years. In her spare time she loved to shop and could even be considered a “shopaholic”. She loved shopping for anything, but especially for clothes.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Clifford, and her second husband, Clyde, one brother, Bob Chasteen, one brother-in-law, Noble Leighton, two sisters-in-law, Mavis Chasteen and Twajana Chasteen.

She is survived by her son, Randy Lovan and his wife, Tana, of Springfield, Missouri, two brothers, Don and Ray Chasteen, one sister, Sue Leighton, one sister-in-law, Gloriabell Chasteen all of Mountain Grove, Missouri, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her.
