October 18, 1933 — January 20, 2014

Nola Faye Gray, daughter of the late Alvin and Lottie (Coffman) Owens, was born on October 18, 1933 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, and departed this life on January 20, 2014 in the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, following complications from a stroke. She was 80 years, 3 months, and 2 days of age.
Faye grew up north of Norwood, Missouri in the Owens Community. She was united in marriage to Robert Wayne Gray on August 5, 1952 in Hardy, Arkansas. Four children were born to this union. They made their home and raised their family on a farm near Norwood. Robert passed away on May 12, 2013.
Faye enjoyed being outdoors. She liked gardening, fishing, hunting, canning, playing games, Wii bowling, and being in bowling leagues. She was known as an awesome cook, and enjoyed family get-togethers. She and Robert loved hosting their annual Fourth of July party each year for their entire family.
Faye was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was saved and baptized at a young age and remained faithful in serving the Lord. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Norwood and enjoyed attending services as long as her health permitted.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons: Gary “Red” Gray in 2002 and Mike Gray in 2003; three brothers: Howard Owens, Normal Owens and Bob Owens; and by her twin sister: Lola “May” Steinert.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Paul Greenfield of Norwood, Missouri; her son and daughter-in-law: Bobby and Lorie Gray also of Norwood; one sister: Beulah Curtis of Mtn. Grove; five grandchildren: Marissa (Greenfield) Cooley, Steven Greenfield, Cody Greenfield, Brandon Gray and Clayton Gray; nine great-grandchildren: Kylee, Candace, Justin, Jordyn, Dylan, Wyatt, Taylor, Gracie, and Aiden; two soon-to-be great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other relatives, neighbors and friends.
