Nancy Prock

October 10, 1930 — December 5, 2020

Nancy Amelia (Werst) Prock, daughter of Benjamin and Melissa Belle (Hittle) Werst, was born on October 10, 1930, in Jefferson County, Kansas. She peacefully left this life on December 5, 2020, in her home. Her age was 90 years, 1 month, and 25 days at her passing. She met the love of her life, Haskel Prock, at a tender age - marrying him on September 4, 1948. Four children were born to their union: Kathy, Barbara, Lucy, and Donald.

Nancy received Jesus Christ into her heart in 1950, after attending a revival with her family. Her sincere devotion to the Lord was always apparent to those who knew her. She was faithful to attend church, even teaching children's church; attempting to do her best to live the Love of God she deeply believed in. She was attending Blue Buck Church at the time of her passing.

Singing, listening to gospel music, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren were a few of the things she loved to do. She enjoyed living in the country, seeing the baby calves, and always watching out for deer and other wildlife!

Over the years, Nancy worked hard from the time she was a teenager; being a homemaker, helping pick cherries with her husband, and even doing secretarial work when he started a drywall business. Moving from Kansas to Washington to Missouri then Indiana for many years before her final move to Missouri (while in her 80's).

Besides her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-five years, Haskel William Prock; her infant son, Donald Leon Prock; her grandson, William (Donnie) Imhausen; son-in-law, Jim Schober Sr.; along with several sisters and brothers.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Imhausen, and her husband, Jim, of Clayton, IN; Barbara Prock Gillum of Mountain Grove, MO; Lucy Schober Walker and her husband, Mark, of Mountain Grove, MO. Her grandchildren, Amelia Nguyen, of FL; Darla Slaughter and her husband, Ben, near Brownsburg, IN; Haskel Carroll and his wife, Jocelyne, of Clayton, IN; Heather Michel and her husband, Eric, of Nixa, MO; Rob Carroll and his wife, Tammy, of Clayton, IN; Kharja Teed and her husband, Chris, of Battlefield, MO; Jim Schober Jr. and his wife, Dalene, of Mountain Grove, MO; Chris Schober and his wife, Lyndse, of Mountain Grove, MO; Angel Olenberger and her husband, Eddie, of Bartlesville, OK; Dusty Schober and his wife, Jessica, of Mountain Grove, MO; thirty-two great-grandchildren in her family; surviving sister, Frances Werst Barnhart of Ellensburg, WA; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy gave all of us a legacy of love and faith; she will be missed greatly. We gratefully take comfort in knowing she is with the Lord.
