Nancy Longwell

Nancy Lee Longwell, daughter of the late David and Etta (Adkisson) Vollmer, was born June 9, 1936, in Rushville, Illinois. She went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2022, at 85 years, 9 months, and 19 days of age.

Nancy married Robert “Bob” Longwell on July 2, 1955, in Rushville, Illinois, and to this union three children were born, Carol, Sandy and Edward.

Nancy was raised in Rushville, Illinois, and later moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri, in 1987. She worked various jobs over the years and retired from Brown Shoe Company. She later worked in home health.

Nancy was saved and baptized at an early age. She enjoyed square dancing with Robert, camping, and spending time with her family, but she especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Longwell, a son, Edward Longwell, a daughter, Carol L. Miller, a granddaughter, Hayley Vail, two sons-in-law, Bobby Dickason and Tommy Miller, and four sisters, Iola, Doris, Margie, Louisa and their spouses.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Sandy Dickason of Rushville, Illinois, four grandchildren, Beth Glisson, Robert Longwell, Jesse Miller, and Nathan Longwell, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
