Mildred Holt

Mildred Holt, daughter of the late Ojciec Maciej and Matka Maryanna Slavinski, was born on August 18, 1925 in Mtn. Carmel, Pennsylvania, and departed this life on January 6, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was 91 years, 4 months, and 21 days of age.


Mildred grew up in Mount Carmel and graduated high school there. She was the youngest of ten children. In the 1960s, Mildred moved to California and there she met Ivan Sherman Holt. They were married on August 2, 1961. They later moved to Arkansas and then came to Missouri in 1988.


Mildred was baptized into the Church of Christ on December 11, 1969 and was a part of the church for 47 years. Mildred greatly enjoyed her church and her church family. She hardly ever missed a service and she witnessed to others as often as she could.


Mildred and Sherman enjoyed going out to eat together and putting puzzles together at home. She loved the outdoors and greatly enjoyed taking walks and spending as much time as possible outside. Sherman passed away on December 9, 2009.


Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son.
