Michael Warner

Michael George Warner was the son of Jerry and Sue (Cockerham) Warner. He was born April 11, 1960, in Livonia, Michigan, and departed this life September 9, 2022, at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri, with his loving wife by his side. He was 62 years old.

Michael was in the United States Army, stationed in Hawaii for two years. He was united in marriage to Anita Waara on September 22, 2018, after spending fifteen years together.

Michael was a self-taught man who wore many hats such as: master welder, crafter, artist, inventor (patent pendings) business owner, wood worker, and engineer. He loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles and taking long rides on his 1979 Sportster and playing pool at the local taverns. Michael absolutely loved spending time with his wife, her family, and friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed making toys for them, playing with them, walking to Casey’s for donuts, taking them on vacation trips, and creating crafts and drawings for them to play with.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Sue Warner, father-in-law and mother-in-law, John C. and Bertha “Butch” Dailey, and step-daughter, Jennifer R. Dailey.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Anita Waara-Warner, step-daughters, Jessica Fry and husband, Aaron, and Haylee Waara, all of Mountain Grove, sister-in-law, Karen Dailey Kayser of Mountain Grove, two nieces, Shannon Williams-Russo and husband, Joe, of Springfield, Missouri, and Tracy Dodd and husband, James, of Mountain Grove, his four lights of his life grandsons, James, Christopher, Hunter, and Zachary Fry, many other nieces and nephews, his “brother from another mother” cousin, D.J. DeWater, as well as many other family and special friends.

Michael was a kind hearted man who would give the shirt off his back. When he loved, he loved deeply for his family and friends. We are all saddened by his loss and he will be truly missed.
