Maxine Lea Holt, daughter of the late Roy and Maude (Arnall) Hutson, was born on January 20, 1927 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri and departed this life on September 10, 2011 in the Maranatha Village in Springfield, Missouri. She was 84 years, 7 months and 19 days of age.
Maxine grew up and attended school in Mtn. Grove. She was united in marriage to Murl Adamson in 1945. One son was born to this union. She later married Donald Holt in 1947. Mr. Holt passed away on January 22, 1998.
Maxine was employed by Brown Shoe Company in Cabool, Missouri for over twenty years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, cooking, and visiting with her many friends.
Maxine was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
While living in Mtn. Grove, Maxine attended the First Free Will Baptist Church for many years.
Besides her parents and her second husband, she was preceded in death by a brother: Troy Hutson; a sister: Goldie Baer; and by three brothers-in-law: Bill Johnson, Willard Pyle, and Delbert Aldridge.
She is survived by her son: Bobby Adamson and his wife, Glenda, of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers: Leroy Hutson and his wife, Anna Mae, of Mtn. Grove, and Donald Hutson and his wife, Sherry, of Alton, Missouri; three sisters: Betty Johnson of Lebanon, Missouri, Sylvia Pyle of Mansfield, Missouri and Nellie Aldridge of St. Louis, Missouri; a sister-in-law: Iva Hutson of Mansfield, Missouri; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her first husband: Murl Adamson of Mtn. Grove; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation: No Formal
Burial: Lonestar Cemetery
