Maurice Spooner

Maurice Keith Spooner was born in Wisconsin on April 22, 1934, to Clyde and Mildred Spooner. He died peacefully at Hartville Care Center in Hartville, Missouri, on February 12, 2024. He was 89 years, 9 months, and 21 days of age. 

Maurice was raised in Wisconsin. He served in the United States Army, and then moved out west to Seattle, Washington, to work for Boeing. He loved to ski in the mountains in his younger years, and he liked to read, cook, garden, run the roads, and use his riding lawn mower in his later years. He always had a smile and unique laugh. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ed Spooner, his wife, Verna Spooner, and his son, David Spooner. 

He is survived by one brother, Cecil Spooner, his sister, Ruth Hanson, two daughters, Robin Toepper (Dan), and Patricia Faul (Luther), nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.  He is missed already.
