Mary Maxine Mcintosh

July 10, 1931 — May 4, 2011

Mary Maxine McIntosh, daughter of the late George and Flossie (Cole) Cramer, was born on July 10, 1931 in Norwood, Missouri and passed away on May 4, 2011 in the Brookview Nursing Center in Defiance, Ohio. She was 79 years, 8 months and 24 days of age.
Maxine grew up and attended school in the Norwood area and graduated from Norwood High School. She was united in marriage to Jarold McIntosh on December 9, 1948. They moved to the Defiance area in 1949 where they raised their family. Following their retirement, they moved back to Missouri to make their home in the Rockaway Beach area in 1978. While living there, they owned and operated an antique store and flea market, which brought great joy to Maxine. Mr. McIntosh passed away on January 14, 1995. In 2004, Maxine moved to Ayersville, Ohio to be near her daughter and family.
Maxine was of the Baptist faith and loved attending church as long as her health permitted. She was an avid music fan and she enjoyed dancing. In her spare time she liked to crochet and she was known as a people person, who enjoyed visiting with those around her.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Don Cramer and John Cramer; one sister: Jo Jeannine Miller; and by two grandchildren: Joey and Andy.
She is survived by one son: Darry McIntosh and Sandra, of Galena, Missouri; one daughter: Guavana Phipps and her husband, James, of Defiance, Ohio; one brother: Ron Cramer and his wife, Pat, of Norwood, Missouri; three grandchildren: Tessy Ridgway and her husband, Adam, Jason Phipps and his wife, Lisa, and Roberta Gagnon and her husband, Stan; five great-grandchildren: Ben, Zachary, Austin, Dillon, and Libbey; several nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service:
Saturday, May 7th at 12:00 PM (Noon) in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.

Visitation:
Saturday, May 7th from 11:00 AM to Service time in the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions:
Alzheimer’s Association c/o the funeral home.
