Mary Lou Louise Taylor-Jones, daughter of the late Oscar Leighton and Minnie May (Akeman) Taylor, was born on July 16, 1933 in Norwood, Missouri, and departed this life on February 9, 2011 in the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri, at 77 years of age.
Mary was raised and attended school in Norwood and also Tunas, Missouri.
She was employed by, and retired from the Brown Shoe Company.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, gardening and she also kept pet goldfish, which she enjoyed watching.
She was a caring and kind mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She loved spending time with her family and fishing and camping with her grandson, Bruce Jones.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Casey Lynn Jones; two brothers: Henry Berry Taylor and Richard Emery Finch; three sisters: Rhoda Abigail Taylor-Dodson, Armandy Leota Taylor-Dennis and Octavia Tiv Finch; and by three grandchildren.
She is survived by one son: Mitchell Jones and his wife, Darla, of Windyville, Missouri; three daughters: Laura Jones of Cabool, Missouri, Donnis Taylor and her husband, Tom, of Gainesville, Missouri, and Sherry Jones of Mtn. Grove; one brother: James Finch of Norwood, Missouri; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
