Mary Francis Lawler, daughter of the late Jesse and Lilly (Palmer) Martin, was born on September 14, 1933 in Hartville, Missouri in Wright County and passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at her residence near Mtn. Grove, Missouri, at 75 years of age.
Mary grew up and attended school in the Hartville area. She was united in marriage to Jack Quesenberry in 1950. Two sons were born to this union. They were married for twenty-eight years. Jack passed away in 1978.
She was later married to Farris Lawler on December 28, 1980 in Cabool, Missouri. They made their home on Coke Road, southwest of Mtn. Grove, where they were living at the time of her passing.
Mary enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens each year. She also liked to play games, cook, and spend time with her family and friends. She looked forward to spending the winters in Yuma, Arizona whenever possible.
She was a loving, caring, and giving, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents and her first husband, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter: Elaine Eckman.
She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-eight years: Farris Lawler of their home; two sons: Basil Quesenberry and his wife, Martha, of Cabool, Missouri, and David Quesenberry and his wife, Kathy, of Deer Park, Texas; a step-son: Tim Lawler and his wife, Becky, of Marion, Arkansas; four brothers: Don Martin of Grovespring, Missouri, Ellis Martin of Kimberling City, Missouri, Jesse Martin Jr., of Titusville, Florida, and Ted Martin of Mtn. Grove; two step-sisters: Jean Elliott and Catherine Crunkleton, both of the State of Arkansas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services:
Friday, May 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church.
No Formal Visitation
Friends may call after 10:00 AM on Thursday in the funeral home.
