Obituary
Margaret Ilah Wake, daughter of the late Frank and Effie Marie (Robinson) Miller, was born on August 19, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri, and passed away on June 10, 2007 in the St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri, following a short illness, at 76 years of age.
Margaret lived in northern Missouri for several years before moving to the Mtn. Grove, Missouri area in 1976, where she made her home at the time of her passing.
She was very active in the VFW Auxiliary and served as Chaplain. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star where she served for many years.
She was employed by the Mtn. Grove Juvenile Detention Center where she worked until her retirement.
Margaret loved her family very much and was very active in their lives.
She loved playing bingo and going to casinos whenever she had the chance. She also liked helping her son tend to the Mtn. Grove Motel.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: William Lee Bunts.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Paul and Lisa Bunts of Mtn. Grove; her daughter and son-in-law: Margaret and Art Whitman of Mtn. Grove; twenty-two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, neighbors, and friends who will sadly miss her.
Memorial services for Margaret Wake will be held Saturday, June 16, 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Joe Slater officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
