Margaret Damacela, daughter of the late Emilio and Margarita Puraseda (Pranier) Gonzalez, was born on December 5, 1933 in New York City, New York and departed this life on March 25, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at 80 years of age. Margaret was raised in New York City. She later moved to Chicago, Illinois and then to New Jersey. Margaret spent the last ten years living in Mountain Grove, Missouri. While living in Chicago, Margaret ran a driving school for many years and also had a radio program. Margaret enjoyed playing Bingo and was considered the Bingo queen. Recently, while residing in Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove, the Center made her the Patient Advocate. Margaret cared about others and enjoyed helping anyone in need. She was also the Queen of Autumn Oaks in 2013. Margaret greatly enjoyed singing and listening to music. She also enjoyed crafts of all kinds and loved making crafts for others. Besides her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by two sons: Jose Hauad and James Carl Hauad; and four brothers: Emilio Gonzalez Seda, Jose Maria Gonzalez, George J. Gonzalez, and Samuel Henry Gonzalez. She is survived by two daughters: Hedi Suastegui and her husband, Arturo, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Janette Dupont and her husband, Emile, of Vanzant, Missouri; one brother: James Carl Gonzalez of New York City; two sisters: Miriam Gonzalez of New York City, and Beverly Colon of Chicopee, Massachusetts; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and other family and friends who will dearly miss her. Now, shes resting with her Lord.
