Lyllis J. (Dugger) Gass, daughter of Ray F. and Georgia L. (Dudley) Dugger, was born September 6, 1939, in Hartville, Missouri. She departed this life on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Hartville Care Center in Hartville at the age of 82.

On July 3, 1960, Lyllis was united in marriage to Harold Lee Gass. After their wedding, Lyllis, Harold and his children, Gary and Kathy, moved to make their home in McPherson, KS. In 1962, their daughter, Sonja, was born.

Lyllis’s career in insurance began there in Kansas at Alliance Insurance. She furthered her education by taking computer data processing courses and one day became the supervisor of the Data Processing Department.

In 1980, Lyllis and Harold moved back to Missouri to help take care of aging parents. After Harold was called back into the ministry, Lyllis decided to take a position in Home Health Care, caring for others which was a passion of hers.

Lyllis was seriously injured in a car wreck. Before the accident, she enjoyed gardening with Harold.
