Luther Francis Rhodes

April 1, 1954 — November 7, 2009

Luther grew up in the Mtn. Grove and Cabool area and attended school and graduated from Cabool High School. He then served his country in the Army. Luther served as a ranch hand for several years and most recently worked in a saw mill for Midwest Walnut in Willow Springs, Missouri. Luther met the love of his life, Julie Ross, in 1974. They were united in marriage on May 4, 1984. Four children were born to this union.

Luther was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed wood crafting, trucks pulls, and monster truck rallies. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Luther will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Luther is survived by his wife: Julie Rhodes, of their home; one son: Luther F. Rhodes, II and wife, Ranee, of Mtn. Grove; three daughters: Patricia Rhodes and Mark Holt, Melissa Parsons and husband, Gary, and Cortney Penn and husband, David, all of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; three sisters: Kathy Rust of Cabool, Missouri, Linda Glenn and husband, Steve, of Cabool, Missouri, and Karen Smith and husband, Bob, of Kingsville, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many other relatives and numerous friends.
