Lula Marie Moore, daughter of the late Lewis and Rutha (Burch) Ussery, was born September 26, 1938 in Norwood, Missouri, and passed away July 15, 2015 at her sons residence in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 76 years, 9 months, and 19 days of age.
Lula grew up and went to school in the Norwood community. She had two sons and two daughters: Donnie, Arno, Carolyn, and Londa.
Lula worked for Brown Shoe Company for 35 years. After retirement, she moved to Edwards, Missouri, where she lived for nearly 30 years until her health started failing.
She greatly enjoyed quilting, crocheting, fishing, working in her flower and vegetable gardens and just being outdoors. She especially loved time spent with family and friends.
Besides her parents, Lula was preceded in death by one son: Arno Moore; two brothers: Charlie Ussery and Billy Ussery; one sister: Bernice Jackson; and by one grandson: Matthew Adkins.
She is survived by one son: Donnie Moore and his wife, Carla, of Mountain Grove; two daughters: Carolyn Adkins and her husband, Rocky, of Sedalia, Missouri, and Londa Hicks and her husband, William, of Mountain Grove; four sisters: Joe Ann Crewse of Norwood, Nettie Hunter of Burkburnett, Texas, Mary Villers of Warsa, Missouri, and Wanda Welker of Macomb, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss her.
