L.T. Campbell

L.T. Campbell, son of the late Ralph and Ales (Raney) Campbell, was born on March 16, 1937 in Macomb, Missouri, and passed away on June 6, 2008 at his home in Cabool, Missouri, following a short illness. He was 71 years of age.
L.T. grew up and attended school in the Macomb area. He enlisted into the Air Force on October 5, 1955 and was honorably discharged on October 4, 1961. He worked for Earl’s Body Shop as a mechanic and especially enjoyed driving for the ambulance service. He was employed at Hutchens Industries where he served as a supervisor and retired after 24 years of service.
L.T. enjoyed many things in life. He was an avid fisherman and made many of his own lures and taught his children how to make them. He also enjoyed racing motorcycles and stock cars. He valued his time with his children and grandchildren most of all and would often drive many miles to visit them. L.T. will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Paul Campbell and Donald Campbell.
He is survived by four sons: Carl, Bradley, Brian, and Kevin Campbell; three daughters: Alaina Watts, Alisa Contreras, and Cindy Abbott; two sisters: Doris Sweet and Bertha Lorentz; twenty-eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for L.T. Campbell were held Monday, June 9, 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Rev. Greg Thompson officiating. Pallbearers were Jimmy Campbell, Mitchell Campbell, Ricky Campbell, Roger Sweet, Gary Sweet and Douglas Stephenson. Honorary pallbearers were Austin Campbell, Colten Watts, Conner Campbell and Daniel Presley. Full military honors were provided by The Lima Burial Detail, The American Legion Post 30 with Jared Moore serving as bugler. Burial was in the Mtn. Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.

Visitation:

Sunday, June 8, 2008 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM in the Chapel.
