Lou Ann Walker, daughter of the late Homer and Helen (Motherwell) Bragg, was born August 4, 1955, in Birmingham, Alabama, and passed away May 11, 2018, at her home in Vanzant, Missouri. She was 62 years, 9 months, and 7 days of age.
Lou Ann was raised in a military family and lived in many different places as a child. She married Jack Walker on November 28, 1972, in Charleston, South Carolina. Two daughters were born to this union.
Lou was a homemaker her entire life and enjoyed taking care of her home and family. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and playing Bingo in area towns. She also enjoyed raising dogs. Her dogs became her babies after her girls grew up and left home. She also liked raising goats on their farm after they moved to Missouri.
Lou Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of their home in Vanzant, Jack, two daughters, Kristina Whitten and her husband, Brad, of Hanahan, South Carolina, and Katherine Nichols and her husband, Bradley, of Union Mills, North Carolina, two brothers, Mark Bragg of Jacksonville, Florida, and Eric Bragg of Goose Creek, South Carolina, three grandchildren, Colin, Corbin, and Lorelei Nichols, and other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly.
