Lois Marie Kelley, 64, of Norwood passed away Friday, December 12, 2008 near Sedalia, Missouri following a long battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on December 23, 1943 near Macomb, Missouri the daughter of Willard Sr. and Sylvia (Hutson) Pyle.
Lois grew up north of Macomb in the Wolf Creek community of Wright County and graduated from Mansfield High School in 1961. She also graduated from the Blue Bonnet School of Hair Dressing in Springfield, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Ferd Kelley on November 28, 1973. She was a member of Union Grove “Caudle” Freewill Baptist Church. Lois enjoyed gardening, landscaping and caring for abandoned animals.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ferd Kelley, on January 19, 1990. Lois missed Ferd every day since his passing.
She is survived by her mother: Sylvia Pyle of Mansfield; a son: Terry Kelley and his wife, Teresa, of Sedalia; one daughter: Brenda Williams and her husband, Pete, of Norwood; one brother: Willard Pyle, Jr. of Mansfield; six grandchildren: Jason Williams, Brandon Williams, Sgt. Reagan Kelley, Amanda Hill, Alex Kelley, and Grace Kelley; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services: Monday, December 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation: Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery
Donations/Contributions: Wright County Children's Home or Mid Missouri Alzheimer's Assn. c/o the funeral home.
