Lizzie Coble, daughter of the late Marion and Hattie (Brown) Vandiver, was born January 6, 1922, in Texas County, Missouri, and passed away January 16, 2018, at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plain, Missouri. She was 96 years and 11 days of age.
Lizzie was united in marriage to William “Bill” Franklin Coble January 18, 1941, in Houston, Missouri. Three children were born to this union: William Edward, Phyllis Jean, and Russell Franklin.
Lizzie was a member of New Rock Springs church for many years. She taught Sunday School and worked in Bible School. After moving to town, she became a member of Southside Baptist church and attended as long as her health permitted.
Lizzie was an excellent cook and was well known for her chicken and noodles and chocolate sheet cake.
Besides her parents, Lizzie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, three brothers, Charley, Robert, and Alva, one sister, Bertha, and one grandson, Scott Hines.
She is survived by two sons, William Coble and his wife, Beverly, and Russell Coble all of Mountain Grove, Missouri, one daughter, Phyllis Prock and her husband, Ted, of Lone Jack, Missouri, four grandchildren, Kim Perryman and her husband, Casey, Debra Cantwell and her husband, Shane, all of Titusville, Florida, Holly Berry and her husband, Randy, of Mountain View, Arkansas, and Kent Coble and his wife, Sharon, of Independence, Missouri, nine great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, two nieces, Fern Rhodes and Delinda Fogerson, and many other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her.
