Linden Harold Delcour, son of Charles Everett and Golda Lee Delcour, was born January 31, 1933, in Jerktail, Missouri, and departed this life on Monday, July 12, 2021, in his Rogersville home at the age of 88.
Before moving to Rogersville in 1991, he lived in Mountain Grove and Manes, Missouri. He was an avid fox hunter, along with his dogs, Buck and Queen, whom he could tell was in the lead just by their bark.
Linden lived a simple life and loved helping his mom make the garden, chop wood, and whistle for whip-poor-wills. He also enjoyed strumming on his guitar and dobro. He anxiously waited for the first sight of hummingbirds and would call to let you know he had seen them.
Linden was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister, Clarell, Doyle, Dale, Farris, Lavern, Vurbel, and Wilma, and two brothers-in-law, Warren Stanley and Faron Cogdill.
He is survived by three sisters, Charlene Stanley of Springfield, Missouri, June Cogdill of Rogersville, Missouri, and Linda (Warren) Wood of Nixa, Missouri, several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends and neighbors who loved him dearly and referred to him as “Uncle Ninnie”. He will be missed by all.
