Linda Sue Underwood

Linda Sue (Owens) Underwood, daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (Perkins) Owens, was born October 11, 1949, in Bruner, Missouri. She was the middle child of nine children. Linda passed away April 1, 2025, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. She was 75 years of age.

Linda worked for many years at Hutchens Industries in the cafeteria and later worked in the deli at Ramey’s Super Market in Seymour, Missouri. On May 23, 1992, Linda was united in marriage to Dale Underwood. They would have celebrated 33 years of marriage this year.

Linda loved being outdoors working in her garden, camping, and fishing.

Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by one son, Michael Anthony Williams; one brother, Jerry Wayne Owens; four sisters, Betty Marie Fink, Donna Kay Wright, Dorothy Jean Shelton, and Phyllis June Dobbins.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Underwood of the home in Seymour; one daughter, Lisa (Williams) Lange and her husband, Dean, of St. Augustine, Florida; two grandchildren, Corlea Lange of St. Augustine, Florida, and Joshua Graham Hunt and his fiance’, Chevy Hill, of Marshfield, Missouri; one brother, Jackie Leroy Owens of Bruner, Missouri; two sisters, Wanda Lou Pearson and her husband, Robert, of Fordland, Missouri, and Judith White and her husband, David, of Leavenworth, Kansas; and other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
