Lexie Grisham

July 28, 1950 — May 5, 2022

Lexie Ray Grisham, son of the late Orville and Lorene (Thompson) Grisham, was born July 28, 1950, in Dora, Missouri, and passed away at Cox South Health Center in Springfield, Missouri. He was 71 years, 9 months, and 8 days of age.

Lexie grew up in Dora and graduated from Dora High School with the class of 1968. He married Annabelle Orwick on July 31, 1968. Two children, Cindy and Rick, were born to this union. They moved to Iowa, where Lexie worked at Occidental Chemical. He also was a grain farmer, while in Iowa. He moved the family back to Dora in 1980, where they started a dairy farm. In 1985, they moved to the Norwood and Mountain Grove area where they continued to farm. He started a feed business in 1996 and continued working in the business until his retirement in 2019.

He liked hunting, fishing, and working on the farm. Lexie loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He especially enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s activities. Lexie had an infectious laugh and loved a good joke. He would rather tease someone than eat.

Lexie was saved at an early age and rededicated his life to the Lord in 2018. He loved the Lord and is now rejoicing with his Lord and Savior.

Besides his parents, Lexie was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Kahden McGraw, and one brother, Billy Grisham.

He is survived by his wife, Annabelle Grisham, one daughter, Cindy McGraw and her husband, Bobby, one son, Rick Grisham and his wife, Cheri, one brother, Robert Grisham and his wife, Dorothy, four sisters, Bonnie Wages and her husband, Derrel, Charlotte Connell and her husband, Dick, Rosie Dundas and her husband, Bruce, and Donna Hensley, eight grandchildren, Gavin McGraw, Devin McGraw and wife, Delaine, Cherokee Williams and her husband, Bailey, Cheyenne Burton and her husband, Hesston, Mark Grisham, Zach Brown, Kyle Grisham and his wife, Alex, and Tabi Ollar and her husband, Lyndon, 13 great-grandchildren, his fur baby, Sadie, and many other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
