Levall Florence Rayborn, daughter of the late Luther and Rosie (Sullivant) Crewse, was born on October 15, 1927 in Graff, Missouri, and passed away on March 28, 2011 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 83 years, 5 months and 13 days of age.
Levall grew up in the Graff area and attended her early years of school at the Crewse School. She later graduated from Mtn. Grove High School.
She was united in marriage to Merrill Goldsmith in December of 1941. Mr. Goldsmith passed away in 1975.
Levall married Henry Rayborn on June 6, 1983 in Plato, Missouri. They lived at Lynchburg for several years. Levall worked at Fort Leonard Wood before her marriage to Henry, and later she was employed for ten years by the Autumn Oaks Nursing Home in Mtn. Grove as a Certified Nurses Aid.
Levall enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and tending to farm chores. She also liked cooking, canning, knitting, crocheting, sewing and listening to county music.
She and Henry attended the Plato Christian Church as long as her health permitted.
Besides her parents and her first husband, she was preceded in death by a step-son: Arthur Dale Rayborn; five brothers: Elston, Armor, Murve, Willie and Leavearn Crewse; and by two sisters: Gladys Crewse and Marie Boykin.
She is survived by her loving husband: Henry Rayborn of their home in Mtn. Grove; two step-sons: Glen Rayborn of Sequin, Texas, and Marvin Rayborn of Sioux Center, Iowa; one step-daughter: Mary Rayborn of Olathe, Kansas; two brothers: Clarel Crewse and his wife, Renee, of Irving, Texas, and Bernard Crewse and his wife, Faye, of Willow Springs, Missouri; one sister: Willa Mae Cantrell and her husband, Carl, of Plato, Missouri; a sister-in-law: Shelby Crewse; three step-grandchildren: Amanda, Matthew and Paul Rayborn; several nieces; nephews; and other relatives, neighbors, and friends who will sadly miss her.
