Leslie Ralph Auger, son of the late Ralph Everett Auger and Martha Jean (LaVerne) Mills, was born July 7, 1958, in Newport Beach, California, and passed away July 11, 2021, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri, following a sudden illness. He was 63 years and 4 days of age.
Les was quick with words of wisdom; he loved helping and counseling people on their road to recovery. He worked with his church with the creation of a recovery ministry. He was able to help others see the humor in life and also help them realize that there is hope at the end of the tunnel. He loved gold mining, rock hounding, cooking, his family, and oh so much more. He was involved with Boy Scouts, his son made Eagle Scout which made him proud. He was a Vietnam vet. He was an author of a few short books in his time. He was a truck driver. He loved talking about all of his experiences. He was a proud family man and he loved the Lord.
Les is survived by seven children, Jason Leslie Auger and his wife, Patti, Jeanine (Auger) Gaddis and husband, Malcolm, Christina Ferguson, Billy Ferguson, Mariah Auger, Merissa Auger, and Marquis Auger, ten grandchildren, Desire Auger, Dakota Willis, Kayla Willis, Monique Clevenger, Autumn Auger, Shinia, Quinton, Halley, Krystal Chism, and Steven Heim, eight great-grandchildren, Kairie May, Arina Auger, Alexis Chism, Brooke Chism, Lily Heim, Chloe Heim, Maisey, and Lincoln, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly.
