Leeta Deloris Stigall, daughter of the late Edwin and Ethel (Cope) Young, was born September 20, 1926, in Manes, Missouri, and departed this life September 3, 2018, in Hartville, Missouri. She was 91 years, 11 months, and 13 days of age.
Leeta was born and raised in the Manes, Missouri, area and attended Coon Creek School. She was united in marriage to Jack Stigall on June 6, 1943, and three sons were born to this union: Dallas, Rick, and Doug. Jack and Leeta enjoyed 73 years of marriage before he passed away in 2016.
She was an excellent cook and had a special way of preparing things that made every meal amazing! However, she would never share her cooking secrets. No matter how many times you asked her, you could not pry a recipe out of her. She always had a garden and enjoyed working in it. She had a green thumb and could grow anything. She loved her roses, and enjoyed growing the most impressive rose bushes.
Besides her parents, Leeta was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Stigall, one son, Dallas Stigall, and an infant daughter, Rebecca Kay Stigall.
She is survived by two sons, Rick Stigall of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Doug Stigall and his wife, Vickie, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, one sister, Neeta Lea Martin, four grandchildren, Jeff Stigall and his wife, Michelle, Cindy Hutsell and her husband, Derrick, Meagan Danielson and her husband, Scott, and CJ Stigall, nine great-grandchildren, Brittany Barton and her husband, Brandon, Dakota and Emma Stigall, Kelsie, Kamryn, Kyla, and Jace Hutsell, and Lily and Hunter Danielson, three great-great-grandchildren, Elsie, Griffin, and Hudson Barton, and many friends and extended family who will miss her.
