He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Veit; and niece, Stacy Veit.
Larry is survived by his longtime companion, Angela Bingham, of the home; daughter, Tonya Jackson and husband, Bill, of Springfield, Missouri; son, Scott Veit and wife, Helen, of Ozark, Missouri; grandchildren, Haylie Veit, Boston Veit, and Hattie Veit; nephew, Rance Veit; 2 great-nephews, Grant Veit and Chandler Veit; and sister-in-law, Nancy Veit.
Larry was born in Mountain Grove and raised in Mansfield where he graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1972. He worked at Tobin-Hamilton Shoe Factory for many years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed calf roping, muscle cars, car shows, Kessler whiskey and going to Bryant Creek. He actually had been dubbed “Mayor of Bryant Creek”, a title he was proud of.
Larry was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and a caring neighbor and friend. We have many special memories that we will always cherish.
