Larry Lee Griffin

Larry Lee Griffin, 61, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at his home in Miramar Beach, Florida. Larry was born on November 23, 1950 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri to Arthur and Freda (Hicks) Griffin.
He grew up in Mtn. Grove and graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1968. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was in the reserves during the Vietnam War.
Larry worked as a Lab Technician for Mid-America Creamery in Cabool, Missouri and retired after thirty years. Upon retirement, he worked for Reliable Toyota Dealership in Springfield, Missouri and moved to Miramar Beach, Florida in December of 2011.
He was a member of the East Sunshine Church of Christ in Springfield, Missouri.
Larry enjoyed golfing, playing pool, traveling, the beach, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents: Arthur and Freda Griffin of Mtn. Grove; his sons: Preston Griffin and his wife, Shannon, of Canton, Georgia, and Nathan Griffin and his wife, Melissa, of Miramar Beach, Florida; his sister: Pam Canton and her husband, Dwayne, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his sister: Debbie Kuster and her husband, Gary, of Mtn. Grove; his brother: Bill Griffin of Mtn. Grove; his sister: Gina Gunnels and her husband, Jim, of Mtn. Grove; four very special grandchildren: Scarlett, Gavin, Brookelyn, and Summer; many nieces; nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
