Larry Lee Freels, son of the late Lawrence and Mildred (Estep) Freels, was born on December 15, 1936 in Wright County near Dawson, Missouri and departed this life on December 17, 2014 at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri. He was 78 years, and 2 days of age.
Larry was raised near Dawson, Missouri and attended Morning Sun School. Larry married Maggie Marie Ussery and 3 daughters were born to this union: Deannie, Geannie, and Leah. Later, Larry married Lillian Azavedo.
Larry worked at Brown Shoe Company in maintenance for many years. Later he worked in maintenance at Gamo in Houston, Missouri for several more years. Larry enjoyed doing carpenter work, hunting, and fishing.
Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife: Lillian; and sister: Rosemary Freels.
Larry is survived by a special friend and companion: Ann Bass; three daughters: Deannie Pattillo and husband, Sanford, of Morley, Missouri, Geannie Mitchell of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Leah Hoskin and husband, Glenn, of Sikeston, Missouri; three brothers: Ernest Freels and wife, Ruby, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, Keith Freels and his wife, Lorie, of Claxton, Oregon, and Ray Freels and his wife, Ruby, of Lawrence, Kansas; six grandchildren: Joey Ellis, Racheal Hoskins, Bradley Freeland, Rebecca Hoskins, Christopher Northern, and Kurtis Smith; one great-grandchild: Joseph Ellis; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation: Friday, December 19, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Funeral Service: Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
