Kyle Cade Smith, 49, of Ben Davis, Missouri, passed away on March 20, 2017. He was born on November 29, 1967, in Houston, Missouri, to Rodney and Kathy (Plowman) Smith.
Kyle grew up hunting and fishing rural Texas County with friends and family. He developed a love for farming and all aspects of agriculture and began his high quality dairy herd as a young 4-H member. By the age of nineteen, he began milking on his own farm. He married Brenda Jean Doty on May 21, 1988, and together they prospered on their farm and raised Doti and Cody. Many neighborhood children gathered at their home to hunt, fish, play, and enjoy country life. They added a beef operation in recent years. Kyle took pride in his farm and family, and in producing high quality milk and perfectly shaped hay bales. Out of necessity, Kyle became very proficient at fixing farm equipment, welding fence, metal fabricating, animal husbandry, and stock dog training. Kyle was never afraid of hard work, had a quick wit, and was very dependable and full of Kyleisms-words said only in a way that Kyle could say them. He was definitely a proud, head-strong Smith that showed everyone another side when he became a Papa to Delaney Jewel Smith, the apple of his eye and ice cream eating buddy.
Kyle was saved and baptized by Rev. Curtis Dowden on September 23, 1990 and continued to increase his Biblical knowledge and faith. He never hesitated to share his faith with those around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Kathy Smith, his grandparents, George and Pauline Smith and Duncan and Donna Plowman.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda, children, Doti Smith of Oronogo, Missouri, and Cody Smith and his daughter, Delaney, his sister, Kim (Ernie) Ehlers, and brother, Duncan (Tara) Smith, and his Aunt Peggy (Plowman) Hirt all of Ben Davis, Missouri, his Uncle Tom (Cheryl) Plowman of Fairbanks, Alaska, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
No words can express the depth of the sorrow in losing Kyle by so many, many friends and his family. We love you, Kyle, and cherish the wonderful memories we made with you.
