Kristi Renae Ross

Kristi Renae Ross, daughter of Gary Wayne Ridgeway and Eudene “Dee” (Stephenson) Baird, was born on October 21, 1973 in Winfield, Kansas and departed this life on April 7, 2009 in the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, surrounded by her family, following a courageous and short battle with cancer. She was 35 years, 5 months and 17 days of age.
Kristi grew up in Kansas and graduated from Winfield High School and later attended Richland Community College in Decatur, Illinois for one year. She was united in marriage to James Ross on August 7, 1991 in Burden, Kansas. Two children were born to this union, Robert and Maryssa.
Kristi worked various jobs throughout her life. For the past several years she was employed by Wal-Mart Supercenter in Mtn. Grove, working in the connection center.
She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, granddaughter, niece and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her step-father: Larry L. Baird on December 16, 2008; her paternal grandparents: Robert and Louise Ridgeway; and by her maternal grandparents: David and Kathryn Stephenson.
She is survived by her husband: James Ross of their home; her son: Robert Andrew Ridgeway Ross; her daughter: Maryssa Renae Ross; her mother: Dee Baird of Mtn. Grove; her father: Gary Ridgeway and Angela Reigel of Winfield, Kansas; her mother-in-law: Gerrie Stephens of Cushing, Oklahoma; her father-in-law: James Ross Sr.; her grandmother: Midge Brown of Decatur, Illinois; two sisters: Misty Finch of Mtn. Grove, and Stacy Allen of Kentwood, Louisiana; her sister-in-law: Regina Parmeley of Cushing, Oklahoma; one step-sister: Dawn Root of Winfield, Kansas; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friday, April 10, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitaiton:
Thursday, April 9, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
