Kimberly Jeanette (Ivie) Blanchette, daughter of Harold and Virginia (Clark) Ivie, was born on February 21, 1971 in Springfield, Missouri and departed this life on June 7, 2014 at her residence in Vanzant, Missouri. She was 43 years, 3 months and 17 days of age.
Kim grew up and attended schools in the Mountain Grove, Missouri and Norwood, Missouri areas and graduated from Norwood High School. She married Stanley Richardson and one son, Adam, was born to this union. Kim and Stanley went their separate ways, but had remained friends throughout her life.
She later married Michael Collins and welcomed his son, Will, as her own. In 1997 this union was blessed with another son, Isaac. In the summer of 2001 they lost Michael to his battle with cancer.
Kim later married Merle Blanchette.
Family was very important to Kim and she loved spending time with her boys and three granddaughters, which brought her lots of joy. Kim loved singing, especially in church. She sang with a group from Almost Home Ministries on several occasions. She enjoyed being outdoors and loved spending time taking nature walks and working in the yard. Kim was a kind and generous soul who helped people from all walks of life. Even at times when she had very little herself she would give it up to help someone else in need.
Kim leaves behind two sons: Adam Richardson, and his wife, Erin, and Isaac Collins, all of Mountain Grove, Missouri; three granddaughters: Gracie Richardson, Hallie Richardson, and McKenzie Richardson, all of Mountain Grove; her mother: Virginia Fischer of Mountain Grove; her father: Harold Ivie, and his wife, Marlene, of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers: Robert Hutsell, and his wife, Vickie, and Billy "Joe" Clark, all of Mountain Grove; one step-sister: Lori Wurtz, and her husband, Jeff, of Liberty, Missouri; two nephews: Tanner Hutsell and Jordan Hutsell, both of Mountain Grove; three nieces: Allison Hutsell, Samantha Hutsell, and Tammy Rutz, all of Mountain Grove; two great-nephews: Matthew Rutz and Aden Rutz, both of Mountain Grove; her aunt: Betty Lessly of Springfield, Missouri; two cousins: Larry Strickler and James Strickler; her ex-husband: Merle Blanchette of the home; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
Memorial Service: Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel.
Burial: Green Mountain Cemetery following the service.
