Kent Lewis Schmid

Kent Lewis Schmid, son of Helen Julia (Kube) and the late Lewis Frank Schmid, was born on June 3, 1949 in Farwell, Michigan and departed this life on November 15, 2014 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri. He was 65 years, 5 months, and 12 days of age.

Kent was born, raised and graduated high school in Farwell, Michigan. In 1979, Kent moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri and began working on a farm and doing odd jobs here and there. He later became a plumber and worked as long as his health permitted.

Kent enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, and visiting with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father: Lewis Frank Schmid.

Kent is survived by his mother: Helen Julia (Kube) Schmid of Mountain Grove, Missouri; three brothers: Wayne Schmid and his wife, Diane, of Rosebush, Michigan, Alan Schmid and his wife, Joyce, of Remlap, Alabama, and Leon Schmid and his wife, Teresa, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

Memorial Service: Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel
