Kenneth Rex Coble

July 9, 1951 — March 18, 2008

Kenneth Rex Coble, son of Herman and Shirley (Page) Coble, was born on July 9, 1951 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, and departed this life suddenly on March 18, 2008 at his residence in Vanzant, Missouri. He was 56 years, 8 months, and 9 days of age.
Kenneth grew up in the Mtn. Grove area and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School. He later attended trade school. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He was united in marriage to Karene Huey on August 15, 1981 in Midway, Arkansas. Three children were born to this union.
Kenneth’s farm was his life. He enjoyed his farm duties and living in the country.
He was baptized as a young man and was very active in his church. He was a member of the Church of Christ on West First Street in Mtn. Grove. He faithfully attended services and enjoyed visiting with his many friends. He was also active on the Electric Coop. Board.
He was a loving and caring son, husband, father, brother, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father: Herman Coble.
He is survived by his wife: Karene Coble of their home in Vanzant, Missouri; two sons: Matthew Harrison Coble and Dan Rex Coble, both of Vanzant, Missouri; one daughter: Sarah Elizabeth Rapert of Ash Flat, Arkansas; his mother: Shirley Coble of Vanzant, Missouri; one brother: Keith Coble of Starkville, Mississippi; one sister: Karen Edwards of Oakton, Virginia; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
Funeral services for Kenneth Coble were held Friday, March 21, 2008, 2:00 PM in the Church of Christ on West First St. in Mtn. Grove, with Darin Chappell and Clint Yarber officiating. Phil Driskell and Terry LeBaron served as song leaders for the congregational singing. Pallbearers were Randy emery, Ronnie Emery, Bobby emery, Richard Sciba, Stan Clark, and Dan Singletary. Honorary pallbearers were Max Schmollinger, Keith Tucker, Larry Turner and Carl Turner. Full military honors were given at the cemetery by The American Legion Post 30 and The Lima Team Burial detail with Jared Moore serving as bugler. Burial was in the Penner Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.

Visitation:
Thursday, March 20, 2008 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
Burial:
Penner Cemetery, Douglas County, Missouri.
