Katrena Leeann (Lakey) Altizer

Katrena LeeAnn (Lakey) Altizer, daughter of Gary and Mary (Floyd) Lakey, was born on April 16, 1988, in Springfield, Missouri, and departed this life on April 20, 2016, in Nixa, Missouri. She was 28 years of age.

Katrena was raised in the Mountain Grove and Cabool area. Later, she moved to Springfield, Missouri, where she graduated from Central High School in 2006.

In 2010, Katrena was united in marriage to Jacob Altizer in Walnut Grove, Missouri. One daughter, Jade, was born to this union.

Katrena graduated from Missouri College Of Cosmetology and then moved to Harrison, Arkansas. She worked as a hair dresser in Eureka Springs, and later moved to Nixa and was working at Fantastic Sams Hair Salon in Ozark at the time of her passing.

Katrena enjoyed painting on canvas with charcoal, singing, and playing the guitar. She also enjoyed going camping and spending time outdoors.

Katrena will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Katrena was preceded in death by her father: Gary Lakey; and her grandfather: Robert Kinkaid.

She is survived by her husband, Jacob Altizer; one daughter: Jade Moon Altizer of Nixa, Missouri; her mother: Mary Floyd of Houston, Missouri; her grandmother: Evelyn Kincaid of Nixa, Missouri; two brothers: Greg Ryan of Houston, Missouri, and Jason Kuster of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two sisters: Julia Dunkmann of Nixa, Missouri, and half-sister: Lora Kuster of Nixa, Missouri; and a host of other family and friends.


Visitation: Friday, April 22, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the Chapel.

Graveside Service: Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Yates Cemetery, Douglas County.

Burial: Yates Cemetery, Douglas County.
