Katie Roberts

Katie Belle (Hill) Roberts, daughter of the late Bill and Blanche (Turner) Hill, was born June 11, 1932, in Norwood, Missouri, and departed this life July 27, 2018, at her home in Norwood, Missouri. She was 86 years, 1 month, and 16 days of age.

Katie grew up in Norwood and graduated from Norwood High School in 1950. She married Glen Roberts August 23, 1949, in Norwood, Missouri. One son was born to this union.

Katie worked for Lily-Tulip in Springfield, Missouri. She had her Broker/Real Estate license and did clerical work. She was always very dedicated and reliable. After retirement, Katie and Glen moved back to Norwood, Missouri.

Katie enjoyed square dancing and was an excellent cook. She especially loved to cook for church dinners. She was a member of Norwood Assembly of God. Her church family was very important to her and she was always available to serve and help whenever possible. As a child, she attended Union Grove/Caudle church. Katie enjoyed spending time with family. She was a good and loving wife, mother, and sister.

Besides her parents, Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Roberts, her son, Michael Glen Roberts, and two brothers, Billy Hill and J.D. Hill.

She is survived by four sisters, Vera Bergholz and Marilyn Walker, both of Norwood, Missouri, Linda Solovic and her husband, Ray, of Van Buren, Missouri, and Margie Hylton and her husband, Jack, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, several nieces and nephews, and many other friends and church family who will miss her dearly.
