Karyn Anderson

Karyn Ann Anderson, daughter of the late Othel and Barbara (Selix) Colburn, was born April 6, 1957, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and departed this life August 26, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. She was 67 years, 4 months, and 20 days of age. 

Karyn spent her early years growing up in Black Forrest, Colorado, and then moved with her family to Fordland, Missouri, in 1965. They moved to Mansfield, Missouri, in 1972, and Karyn graduated from Mansfield High School. Karyn worked many different odd jobs throughout her life. Karyn was living in Fordland, Missouri, at the time of her passing and had spent most of her adult life in the area. 

Karyn’s family was very important to her and she loved spending as much time with them as possible. She enjoyed sitting out on her porch watching hummingbirds and other wildlife. She also enjoyed going fishing with her family and going out to lunch with her siblings as often as they could. 

Karyn was preceded in death by her parents, Othel and Barbara Colburn, and one sister, Patty Munden.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Fisher and her husband, James, of Fordland, Missouri; her son, Lewis Deckard of Fordland, Missouri; grandson, Kody Deckard; three sisters, Vonnie Caswell and her husband, Leonard, of Springfield, Missouri, Lorene Coble of Ava, Missouri, Katie Cox and her husband, Mark, of Highlandville, Missouri; brothers, Joe Colburn and his wife, Tammy, of Fordland, Missouri, and Justin Colburn and his wife, Janie, of Ava, Missouri; and many nephews, nieces, and extended family who will miss her.
