Julian Elmer Scott, Jr., son of the late Julian Elmer Scott, Sr. and Idia Gladas (Carpenter), was born on May 6, 1932 in Erath County, Texas and passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at his home in Mansfield, Missouri. He was 82 years, 10 months, and 23 days of age.
Julian attended Stephenville High School in Stephenville, Texas, and joined the Air Force in 1949.
Julian was united in marriage to Joan M. Wildt on December 13, 1952, at St. Francis Borgia Church in Washington, Missouri. Julian and Joan were married for 54 years. They travelled the states and Europe together, retiring from the Air Force in 1969. Together they enjoyed visiting friends and relatives around the county. Over the years they owned several successful businesses. Julian also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Besides his parents, Julian was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; one brother: James Julian; and two sisters: Katherine Burcham and Louise Dougherty.
He is survived by two daughters: Regina A. Scott of Niceville, Florida and Rebecca S. Potter and her husband, Ron Potter, of Mansfield, Missouri; one grandson: Scott Helms of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; great-grand-children: Alexander, Annabelle and Katheryn of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends.
