Judith “Judy” Arlene Robertson, daughter of the late Claude and Pearl (Casebeer) Massey, was born December 28, 1940, in Huggins, Missouri, and departed this life May 23, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was 77 years, 4 months, and 26 days of age.
Judy was raised in the Huggins community and graduated from Houston High School in 1958. She married Joe Robertson, her best friend for life, on September 18, 1959, in Huggins, Missouri. Four children were born to this union. Except for a short time while Joe traveled for his military service, Joe and Judy made their home in the Mountain Grove community.
Judy worked in banking most of her life. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and sewing, especially making blankets. One of her favorite things was to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a long time member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Mountain Grove. Judy was saved and baptized as a young girl. Judy’s church family was very important to her. She was truly a servant for her church and her Lord. Judy enjoyed being a part of Women Nationally Active For Christ, working in the children’s programs, Good News Club, Bible School, and Faith Weaver Friends, and serving as a Deacon’s wife. Whenever there was a need, Judy was ready to help fill it.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of their home in Mountain Grove, Joe Robertson, four children, Jerry Robertson and his wife, Jan, of Kingwood, Texas, Janet Brown and her husband, Marty, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Jim Robertson and his wife, Meredith, of Brandon, Mississippi, and Jonell Brown and her husband, Charlie, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, one brother, Don Massey and his wife, Lola, of Lynchburg, Missouri, one sister, Mary Kay Massey of Great Bend, Kansas, twelve grandchildren, Branwyn Robertson, Lyndse Schoeber, Jeff Strong, Brad Green, Kristi Halseth, Jill Curtis, Holly Irwin, Hayden Robertson, Zaidee Robertson, Charles Brown, Danielle Brown, and Kaylee Brown, twelve great-grandchildren, and many, many friends, neighbors, church family, and other relatives who will miss her sweet spirit.
