Juanita (Rogers) Willhite, the youngest child of Claude and Agnes (Baty) Rogers, was born on August 13, 1950 in Manes, Missouri, and went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2008 at her residence following a long illness, at 57 years of age.
Juanita lived most all of her life in the Manes Community and attended elementary school in Manes and high school in Mtn. Grove.
She was united in marriage to James Monroe Willhite and five children were born to this union.
Juanita was a dedicated homemaker while her children were growing up. She also worked through the years at various jobs including commercial cleaning, and at the Manes Store and Café.
She was a wonderful cook and seamstress. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially when fishing and gardening. She had many hobbies: her favorites were music and the local weekly auctions.
She liked telling stories to those around her and she also loved singing. She was a member of the Rocky Ridge Country Gospel band. She spent all her life singing in various churches, music halls, at community events and with her family and friends. She sang her last song just one week ago with her granddaughter, Hope, at the Evening Shade Church gospel singing.
The last few months she lived with her brother Ralph and sister-in-law, Jane, at their home in Manes.
She dedicated her life to the Lord at an early age and was a member of the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church in Manes. She loved attending services and visiting with her many friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Mark Anthony Willhite; two brothers: Ralph Rogers and Joe Rogers; and by one sister: Barbara Ann Baty.
She is survived by one son: Christopher Willhite and his wife, Rachel, of Manes, Missouri; three daughters: Kimberly Stinson and her husband, Shawn, of Mtn. Grove, Jill Jones and her husband, Todd, of Manes, Missouri, and Ashley Elliott and her husband, Sam, of Roby, Missouri; two brothers: Lonnie Rogers and Donald Rogers, both of Manes, Missouri; three sisters-in-law: Jane, Bonnie, and Lenda; her longtime companion: Dean Moore of Roby, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Shaynna, Andrew, Kayla, Hope, Jasmine, Jason, Kaitlin, Anthony, and Nickolas; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
