Juanita Allegra Cole, daughter of the late Earnest Raymond and Alma (Crider) Light, was born November 30, 1935, in Crawford, Nebraska, and passed away January 4, 2018, in Manor Care in Springfield, Missouri. She was 82 years, 1 month, and 5 days of age.
Juanita’s father was in the Army, so the family traveled all over the country while she was growing up. Her mother passed away when she was five so her step-mother, Mary Virginia, helped raise her. She enjoyed the times the family was able to live on a farm.
She married Tom Easley and two children were born to this union: Lance and Paula. She later married Dale Cole and two children were born to this union: Jim and Karen. Juanita enjoyed being a housewife, taking care of her family. She loved to cook, bake, sew, and did embroidery work and enjoyed making her daughter’s dresses. She loved to spend time with her family. Her grandkids were her joy. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Juanita enjoyed riding with Dale on his truck after her kids were grown. She and Dale would turn their trips into mini vacations. Juanita also greatly enjoyed fishing.
Juanita worked at Oak Lawn Care Center where she helped cook. She loved working with the residents, playing games and doing puzzles with them. She also worked in the kitchen at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri. She volunteered at the Community Christian Twenty-Five Cent Store in Fordland, Missouri.
Juanita was a member of Diggins Baptist Church for many years. She helped in Sunday School, VBS, Summer Camp, and helped on the bus route. Later, she became a member of Cedar Gap Baptist Church.
Besides her parents and her step-mother, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Cole, one brother, Earnest Raymond Light, Jr., one sister, Anita Lane, and one grandson, Jamie Easley.
She is survived by two sons, Lance Easley and his wife, Tracy, of Clever, Missouri, and Jim Cole and his wife, Letha, of Seymour, Missouri, two daughters, Paula Schmidt and her husband, Joseph, of Springfield, Missouri, and Karen Lansdown and her husband, Jimmy, of Seymour, Missouri, one sister, Roberta “Jodie” Snyder and her husband, Ralph, of Blytheville, Arkansas, nine grandchildren, Candy Radcliff and her husband, Jerry, Sherry Mahan, Dustin Ince and his wife, Trichia, Dale Ince and his wife, Rose, Shelby Helms and her husband, Ryan, Nathan Lansdown, Levi Lansdown, Luke Lansdown, and Sarah Easley, thirteen great-grandchildren, Charles, Heather, and Ryan Radcliff, Isaac Samples, Zyren Ince, James and Joshua Bassett, Wesley and Shelby Ahearn, Trenton, Hayden, Ryia, and Gavyn Helms, Christian and Taylor Kathol, three great-great-grandchildren, Ian, Aason, and Jayden Radcliff, and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
