John W. Robertson

Johnny William Robertson, son of the late Leroy and Edith (Kelley) Robertson, was born October 17, 1938, in Bendavis, Missouri, and departed this life April 17, 2018, at Cox Health in Springfield, Missouri. He was 79 years and 6 months of age.

John married Shirley Patterson in 1956. Four children were born to this union. John was a mechanic and owned his own business for several years. After retirement, he liked going to the beach and vacationing in Aruba. He also enjoyed being part of a bowling league.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister, Ollie Marie Robertson, two brothers-in-law, Sam Barber and Jack Robertson, and by his fiancé, Martha Fogel.

He is survived by three sons, Johnny Robertson and Lisa Pratt of Whiting, New Jersey, Richie Robertson of Old Bridge, New Jersey, and Tim Robertson of Cabool, Missouri, one daughter, Barbara Robertson of Cabool, Missouri, three brothers, Leroy Robertson, Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Gene Robertson and his wife, Linda, of Appomattox, Virginia, Lynn Robertson and his wife, Valorie, of Bendavis, Missouri, two sisters, Karen Raney and her husband, Wayne, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Katherine Barber of Springfield, Missouri, five grandchildren, Richard Leroy Robertson, Jr., John William Robertson III, Gregory John Kopitskie, Jr., Samantha Robertson Hicks, and Brielle Jayne Kopitskie, two great-grandchildren, Chloe Rose Marie Robertson and Brice Hicks, and other relatives and friends who will miss him.
