John Alva Hall

John Alva Hall, son of the late Alva and Dora (Spurlock) Hall, was born October 29, 1926 in Wright County, Missouri and departed this life on December 24, 2009 at the St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri at 83 years of age.
John was raised in Wright County and attended school in the Cedar Gap community. He served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. He married Wilma Irene Luttrell on December 20, 1959 in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Three children were born to this union.
John worked road construction for several years. He enjoyed gardening, cutting wood, fishing, and visiting with his friends and family.
Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife: Wilma; one half brother: James Oscar Hall; and one half sister: Lee Moody.
He is survived by two sons: Allen Hall of Mountain Grove and Dennis Hall and his wife, Carol, of Lebanon, Missouri; one daughter: Roberta Hall of Mountain Grove; three grandchildren: Michael, Britney, and Brayli; and other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
