Joanne Ruth Besson

Joanne Ruth Besson, daughter of the late Theodore William and Helen Jane (Bailey) Kamenske, was born on October 22, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, and departed this life on August 20, 2015, at her home near Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 78 years, 7 months, and 29 days of age.
Joannes family moved to Dyer, Indiana when she was 4 years old. She grew up there and later met Ernie Dale Besson. They were united in marriage on February 28, 1953, in Harrison, Arkansas. Three children were born to this union: Suzanne, Karen, and Charles.
Joanne had a loving personality. She enjoyed traveling and wasnt completely happy unless she was on the go. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by a grandson: Brandon William Besson.
Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 62 years: Ernie Dale Besson of Mountain Grove; one son: Charles Besson and wife, Karla, of Mountain Grove; two daughters: Suzanne Kaczka and husband, Jerry, of Washington, and Karen Carroll and husband, Dennis, of Mountain Grove; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Leona Bramlet and Inez Walker; two special friends: Genevieve Bicanic and Angie Keller; and a host of other relatives and friends.


Visitation: Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 6:00 -8:00 pm in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.

Burial: Hillcrest Cemetery, Mtn. Grove, MO
